Hughes, Langston
Langston Huges was born in 1902 in Joplin, Mo. and died
in 1967. Author of many poems, but gained recognition
with The Negro Speaks of Rivers

When I get to be a composer

I'm gonna write some music about

Daybreak in Alabama

And I'm gonna put the purtiest songs in it

Rising out of the ground like swamp mist

And falling out of heraven like soft dew.
