This site has been created to use in conjunction with James Q. Wilson's American Government (1995). It's purpose is to aid students while studying the fifth chapter of the book on public opinion. Most of the information on this site has been obtained from this book and from the articles mentioned in the link above. From this compilation of material, the visitor should be able to obtain a strong background in what public opinion is, how it is formed, types of ideologies and how it applies to current issues.
