Speaker Roy Harrington told about his experiences researching his Norwegian genealogy and offered tips on how to do it. He also talked about some of the rewards involved, such as finding folks in Norway who knew of his relatives. He presented his daughter Karin with the results of an extensive search back to the time of Norway's King Harald Fair Hair. They are pictured here. While some Scandinavian clubs received the Crown Prince of Norway in May of 1998, the Scandinavian Club of Columbus received a descendant of what Roy termed, "King Harald Fair Hair's right hand barber." Kids worked on Scandinavian Crafts. They are, left to right in front, Emily, Matthew and Haley Skarsten, Linda King helps them work, and Jeniffer King.
