Dinner and Dancing
The Scandinavian Club of Columbus occasionally takes time after a dinner
for dances that are traditional to the countries of the "Norden." This
evening Ed Kidwell and Glenn Thornbloom got everyone going with mixers
and other folk dances fromlong ago. With their guidance the dances are
relatively easy and they're a lot of fun. It's always a popular activity.
Club meetings are also an opportunity for members to pick up items
realted to their heritage. Carol Wickstrom (on the right in the white blouse)
keeps an inventory of merchandise from which members can choose. Candle
holders, baskets, napkins and books are some of the items she keeps on
hand. Aira Kekäle is talking with Carol about one of the items.

Club
members enjoy a dinner and have fun talking about their Scandinavian Heritage
before the dancing begins. These pictures were provided by Åke Hellström.

 Ernie
Park is the club treasurer. He is sitting with his wife Ardyce here.
 This
evening also included a presentation of the club's web page. In the background
one of the children is watching the adults as they watch the presentation.
The
presenter seems to be drowning in his presentation.
