Hey-Great site!! I especially enjoyed browsing through the various QSL cards that you have posted. When I saw the picture of your personal QSL card posted on your site, I knew that we had QSOed before. I will have to look your call up in my logbook when I get a chance but I am fairly confident that I do have your QSL card on file. Your site is very impressive and I congratulate you on a job well done. I wanted to make sure to sign your guesbook before I got lost on some of your other pages. Keep up the GREAT work, good luck to you and yours in 2000, and I hope to meet u on the air agn sn. Very 73es--Ron/W5WWW (formerly WA3WEE)

Hi Jack, It's HL1AZH, Eun Ju Lee in Seoul, Korea. We met on the air on Nov. 23, 1993 (3.7MHz, 0307 UTC, CW mode, of course!). At that time my callsign was VE4UM and I was a graduate student at Univ. of Manitoba. I came back to my home country and re-opened my station on Dec. 25, 1998. I am running 80 watts into a multiband dipole (3.5-28MHz). I like CW, QRP, rag chew and DX. And hope to meet you on the air again. Thank you for your CW guide for beginners which was translated into Korean and a very enjoyable article. Best 73 to you and your family. HL1AZH Eun Ju Lee in Seoul Korea

Hello. I am writing on behalf of my father who was a wireless operator in WW II. He still has a bug and the skills, but is interested in activating it...needs an 'oscillator'? How would I go about helping him set up a system....he is not on- line nor is likely ever to be...but it is something for him to do in his retirement...also other family members might get interested....would be an alternative to the internet if the y2k really does get us.....Barbara

Jack, My name is Ed Kirby, and I just wanted to thank you for your web page and the beginners guide to making CW contacts. I built a set of paddles over a year ago and never used them. Too damn scared to try a qso. I found your page via a link from another page. The advice helped me immensely. I used the idea of the template and love it. After the first couple exchanges using the template I refer to notes I have written just below the templates for ideas on what to talk about. Sounds silly, in person I don't have a problem put a set of paddles in my hand and my mind goes blank. Hi Hi..... Your page is at the top of my Favorites list.... Thanks again, 73 de kf4ibr Ed

I gave your site a quick scan, I wish all new cw ops read your rst and abreviation explanation. I don't think new cw ops understand those things! Hear nov/techs on cw spelling out everything and at 5wpm that seems to take hours! RST is another thing they dont seem to grasp, I get some very strange reports. Hi. Jack: I instituted a two-meter MCW Morse Code instruction net on our club's repeater system about three and one half years ago. The purpose of the net is to teach the sounds of Morse Code characters at 5wpm and prepare students for thier element 1A FCC morse endorsement. Over the years of its operation, I have seen many students upgrade thier licences and gain access to the HF spectrum, but remain reluctant to use Morse. I have visited your web site, and am impressed with the broad range of topics tnd tips related to Morse Code offered there. I feel that this site (which was brought to my attention by one of the graduates of my class) will serve well as a clearinghouse of useful information for the student and instructor of Morse alike, and I intend to recomend it on the air during the class. Thanks, Jack, es keep up the FB job! 73 de Jim, W1IK.

Been brasspounder since novice days in 1961 and love it. microfone has dust on it in this shack, 73 K8JD.
